We are a Special Interest Section of The Camping and Caravanning Club. To be a Member or to camp with us you must first be a Member of The Camping and Caravanning Club, you do not need to own or use a Trailer Tent or Folding Camper. We have five active Areas - The North East, Yorkshire, North London and Eastern Counties (NORLEC), South East and South West. Temporary Holiday Sites are run in various parts of the Country.
Each year three Members of the Section Council retire and need to stand for re-election. If you have been a Member of the Trailer Tent and Folding Camper Group continuously for at least three years and you have someone to nominate you, download a nomination form here: Nomination Form
Held during the late Spring Bank Holiday and usually has a Holiday Site at least one week either side. This is where we all get together, top local acts are booked and for those interested in sport, competitions are held.
The 2013 meet will be hosted by the Section Council and will be held
on the late spring bank holiday - 23 to 27 May 2013
During the Birthday Meet the AGM is held, this is usually a short meeting where the business side of the Group is reported. Following on from the AGM is the Members Meeting where every Member has the right to question, complain, praise and suggest items to the Section Committee. This can go on for a little while longer than the AGM but as always it is carried out in the spirit of The Friendly Club.
We do not always have a lot of trailer tents at our meets but we do have Members who have camped in trailer tents, folding campers and folding caravans who are able to give advice and be on hand to help. All of our meets are held in locations suitable for those units.
